Casey Anthony

Casey Anthony, currently being held on suspicion of murdering her daughter, is being supported by her mother who maintains Casey’s innocence. Her mother believes strongly in Casey’s innocence, and fears for her daughter’s safety in prison.
Cindy Anthony, Casey’s mother, wrote in one letter to her daughter, “You stay strong Casey. Many, many people believe in you and are trying to get to the truth. Not everyone has been brainwashed and not everyone is trying to cover his/her butt.”
Casey Anthony is being charged with capital murder in the death of her daughter Caylee, 2 years old at the time of her murder. Caylee was reported missing in July of 2008. After five months of searching, investigators found her body near the home of Casey Anthony’s parents.
Cindy Anthony expresses her fear from online casinos for her daughter’s safety in prison, explaining in one letter that she was, “worried that there’s treats [sic] on your life and are finally being taken seriously.” She continues, “I swear there are maniacs out there. I hope they step up security next year, for all of us. It’s going to be nuts. Hopefully by then somebody will actually look at the evidence and clearly see that they need to be looking for the real person that took our Caylee.”
The letters from Casey’s mom were released as part of a discovery in the case. Prosecutors in June released over 5.000 pages of documents compiled during Casey’s stay in prison. Casey Anthony continues to plead not guilty and has refused to see visitors, based on the fact that the sessions would be taped and then released to the public.
